October 2, 2019The Poker Jungle
It may only have been a week, but it felt like a lifetime since I had sat down at a poker table. It felt so long that I’d almost begun to miss the feel of those grubby poker chips between my fingers.
Luckily for me, I didn’t have long to wait as Jen and I had purchased our Redtooth Poker Tour (RPT) tickets through Main Event Travel at the end of August in our post-Goliath haze and were ready to compete for the first place prize of a trip to Las Vegas.

Redtooth Poker Tournaments
Arriving at the Grosvenor Portsmouth with just minutes to spare (I got way too involved in the Wales vs. Australia game), we registered our attendance with the Grosvenor Staff and were directed towards our tables.
Greeted by a sea of friendly faces, I took my seat. Two misdeals later and the cards were up in the air!
Now I’d like to take this moment to mention the dealers. They were excellent! Redtooth have made great strides towards improving their Tour Legs by recently deciding to train and employ their own players to deal their events – I’ve never seen happier dealers!
Dealers aside, there were many other facets of RPT Portsmouth that I feel should be celebrated (and a few areas for improvement) that I would like to share with you, but I’ll save that for my Review of The Redtooth Poker Tour – Portsmouth.

Redtooth Poker Tournament Schedule
“So how did RPT Portsmouth go?” I hear you all ask in unison. Well, let me put it this way:
I really enjoyed sampling what Portsmouth’s Gunwharf Quays Shopping Outlet had to offer!
And I had a great time at the cash tables!
But it was Jen who had the most chance of winning that elusive VEGAS100 Ticket (no surprises there).
She fought hard and played well, but ultimately, it was not to be. Although she did finish in a very respectable 19th.
So no Vegas Trip this time, but the disappointment was nothing a KFC on the way home couldn’t fix.
So that’s my offerings for today. No hand breakdowns where I show you a hand I murdered on all 3 streets. No crazy run-outs. Just a quick recap of a superb weekend of poker. Make sure you check out my Review of The Redtooth Poker Tour for an in-depth look at last weekend’s RPT.
Until next time folks.
